With this being the case, it is important you learn what you should do when you have problems with your side mirror, so that you can fix it as soon as possible.
 
A Step by Step Guide
 
It is important you have the right parts before you begin, but you can find most of these car parts online to complete the task. It can help to have an image in your mind of the parts of the mirror, as this can help you to know exactly what it is that you’re looking at and what you need.

  1. The first thing you should do is to gather everything you need. Ensuring that you have the right car parts is vital, as it means you can finish the job uninterrupted.
  2. Make sure your engine is off, as there is a chance you could harm yourself if you try to fix anything electrical with a running engine.
  3. Take off the trim around the mirror, as this will allow you to see the inner workings much more easily.
  4. Unscrew the screws holding the mirror in place and you should find that you are now able to remove it from the side of your car.
  5. Once you have done this, you should find it easy to replace it with the new mirror, by simply reversing the steps that you took to remove it. Replace the screws, ensuring that they are all in the right place and then replace the trim. Your side mirror will now look as good as new!
